Independent Research

Our data comes from public sources and industry surveys โ€” not from companies looking to sell you something.

๐Ÿ“Š

Real Numbers

We build estimates from actual rate data and published sources, updated regularly as conditions change.

๐Ÿ“Œ

Sourced & Transparent

Every state figure links to its source โ€” the Tax Foundation, state housing agencies, HUD, the VA, and the FHFA โ€” and we're upfront about how the site is funded. See how we research this.

Our Mission

QuickMortgageCalc.com is a mortgage calculator and research site for homebuyers who want to understand their numbers before talking to a lender. We cover payment estimates, amortization, PMI, refinance break-even, and affordability โ€” without trying to sell you anything.

How We Research

The calculator uses standard mortgage math. Our state pages pull property-tax rates from the Tax Foundation, transfer and recording taxes from state statutes, and first-time-buyer programs straight from each state's Housing Finance Agency โ€” with a link to that agency on every page. Loan-program figures come from the bodies that set them: HUD/FHA, the VA, USDA, and the FHFA. Rates and home prices are shown as labeled estimates, never as guarantees, and when a number isn't confirmable we explain the rule and point you to the source instead of guessing. Full method is on our How We Research This page.

How the Site Is Funded

QuickMortgageCalc is free to use and supported two ways: advertising (labeled as ads), and lead generation. If you choose to get pre-qualified, we may connect you with a licensed mortgage broker or lending partner and may be paid for that referral โ€” at no cost to you, with no obligation, and we are not the lender ourselves. Those relationships don't change the tax rates, loan rules, or program details on our pages.

Who Runs This

QuickMortgageCalc.com is built and edited by Brad Burton, the site's founder, who researches home-buying costs state by state and keeps the federal loan-program pages current as limits and programs change. We're not loan officers, and we say so plainly โ€” the aim is to make official information easier to understand and to point you to the right professionals when you need them.
